Bayhawks dominate the Rattlers

ANNAPOLIS, MD (JULY 2, 2017) — The Rochester Rattlers dropped a tough game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks, 19-9 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. With the loss, the Rattlers drop to 4 & 6 on the 2017 season.

The Rattlers went up 5 - 0 midway through the first quarter before the Bayhawks went on a run of their own. At the end of one, Rochester led, 5 - 3. At halftime, the Bayhawks led by one, 8-7.

Chesapeake shut out the Rattlers in the fourth quarter and went on a 6-0 run that capped their first win since losing to the Rattlers on June 10th.

Joel White had an ESPN Top 10 Goal of the Year in the second quarter: With the loss to Chesapeake, Rochester returns home for two games, starting on Sunday, July 16th against the Boston Cannons. The Rattlers beat the Cannons on May 13th, 13 to 10.
