Rattlers All-Stars Enjoy a Successful Night

March 18, 2016

The 2013 MLL All-Star Game presented by Moe’s Southwest Grill came to a close on Saturday, July 13 th, with Team Supernova using a nine-goal fourth quarter run to take over and defeat Team Eclipse 24-15 at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

It was one against four after the All-Star Game draft, with Team Supernova’s Jordan MacIntosh playing against all four of his Rattlers teammates in Matt Striebel, Ned Crotty, Mike Manley, and John Ranagan on team Eclipse, but MacIntosh would earn the bragging rates over his fellow Rattlers after a deciding 24-15 victory. In an entertaining evening, the five Rochester All-Stars enjoyed a successful night, combining for five points, and even a few faceoff wins. Below is a check in on how your 2013 Rattlers All-Stars played…

Matt Striebel played in his league record ninth All-Star game appearance in Charlotte on Saturday night. Matt was unable to find the back of the net, but was a chosen leader on the field, and finished up with six shots.

Ned Crotty ended his third All-Star game with one assist. Just under five minutes into the third quarter, Crotty had a nice dish to New York’s Tommy Palasek for his second goal on the night.

Mike Manley, Rochester’s 2012 Rookie of the Year, enjoyed an entertaining night in his first career All-Star Game. Manley picked up five ground balls, and even made his way to the faceoff X, winning two out of three draws. Mike was also in the halftime fastest shot competition, firing a 110 mph shot in the contest.

John Ranagan kept on his rookie dominance in his debut rookie All-Star Game appearance, and scored the lone goal for Rochester’s All-Stars. Late in the first quarter, Ranagan fired one home for Team Eclipse for his first career All-Star Game goal. Counting that goal, Ranagan currently rides a six game scoring streak.

Jordan MacIntosh was the leading scorer out of all Rochester players, recording three assists in his first All-Star game. MacIntosh assisted the first goal of the second quarter after Hamilton’s Joe Walters went for a highlight behind the back score, and his last two assists came in the final quarter to Hamilton’s Crowley, and Walters again.

All five of your Rattlers All-Stars will return to Rochester in a home game on Saturday, July 20 th, to take on the Denver Outlaws at 1 PM.
