The Rattlers led 6 to 5 after one quarter of play but Ohio stormed back in the second quarter to take a 10 - 8 lead into halftime.
Jordan Wolf returned to action after being out of the line-up for the past two games. He was on fire with three goals and one assist as the Rattlers were hungry to be back in the playoffs. Wolf was named the Coca-Cola Player of the Game. He scored the game winner with 1:29 left in the game to give the Rattlers the lead and the win into the MLL playoffs.
Rochester outscored Ohio, 6 to 3 in the final two quarters to get the win.
Ty Thompson, John Ranagan and Jordan MacIntosh each had another huge performance for the Rattlers, scoring three goals and one assist a piece. Goalie John Galloway had another solid game with twenty-three saves.
Drew Simoneau won 24-31 face-offs, scored one goal and picked up thirteen ground-balls.
With the victory over the Machine, Rochester will travel to Denver to play the Outlaws at the University of Denver on Saturday, August 12th against the #1 seed and defending champion, Denver Outlaws. The Rattlers beat the Outlaws on May 27th, 16 to 15 and two weeks ago on July 20th, 18 to 12.
