The Big Bad Wolf joins the Rattlers for pro debut

March 18, 2016
ROCHESTER, NY (June 12, 2014)  “Don’t be afraid of The Big Bad Wolf” is how the bedtime story goes.  Come this Saturday night the Ohio Machine will be the first to find out if there is anything to be worried about.  Jordan Wolf, the two-time NCAA Division I Champion and 2014 title game Most Outstanding Player is eventually making his way to Rochester.  He joins the visiting Rattlers when they play the Machine in Selby Stadium this weekend, and will play one more game on the road before he makes his home debut in Downtown Rochester.

Wolf is a product of the lacrosse powerhouse Duke Blue Devils and was on back to back national title teams in 2013 and 2014.  Among many of his honors, he was a finalist for the 2014 Tewaaraton Award given to the Most Outstanding Player in NCAA lacrosse (which ironically was won by his future Rattlers teammate Miles Thompson).  He is known for his amazing speed and play making ability around the net.

When asked about his upcoming pro start, Wolf said “I am so humbled to be drafted by the Rattlers and really excited to make my debut this weekend.   Anything I can do to help this team continue to win I will do.”   When asked about his alma mater, he stated “I look forward to joining former Duke players Dave Lawson, Mike Manley and Justin Turri, as well as the rest of the team.  Winning two national championships was an unbelievable experience, but I am ready to take the next step and reach for a MLL championship.”

Start time for this Saturday’s game is 5:30 pm at Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio.  The Rattlers look to continue their on-field success as they remain undefeated at home and have won two in a row. They hope to end their road game woes after losing to the New York Lizards and the Denver Outlaws in their only games away from the Flower City this season.

The Rattlers return home on Sunday, June 29thto take on the Denver Outlaws at Sahlen’s Stadium for a 1:00 pm start time.  To find out more about tickets to a Rattlers home game, call (585) 340-6905, log onto or stop by the Sahlen’s Stadium Box Office.  Follow the team on Facebook or Twitter @RattlersLax.
