Thomas is from Richmond, Virginia, and was a two-sport athlete at The Collegiate School. He was also a lacrosse All-American in his junior and senior years. Thomas attended UNC, where he became a dominant attackman, finishing his career with 105 total points. Thomas was picked 59th overall by the Rattlers in the 2012 MLL Collegiate Draft. This is Thomas’s first year in the MLL.
2012: ACC Finalist, NCAA Tournament Bid. Selected to participate in USILA North-South Senior Game.
2011: Was the third leading scorer on the UNC team with 34 points...was fourth in goals with 21 and third in assists with 13...also had 28 ground balls and six caused turnovers...had six multi-goal games and 11 multi-point efforts... named ACC Offensive Player of the Week on March 14, 2011 after his performances against Penn and Princeton... those performances also earned him Capital One/ESPN Impact Performer of the Week honor.
2010: Had a breakthrough year, winning the Kevin Reichardt Memorial Award as the team's most improved player...despite a mid-season thumb injury that caused him to miss three games, he was Carolina's third-leading scorer with 43 points...led the Tar Heels in goal scoring with 30 ...had 13 assists, tied for third on the team...also had 15 ground balls...scored six man-up goals, second on the team.
2009: Played in 17 games as a freshman...had two goals and six assists for eight points... had 12 ground balls.
