Brett is from Great Mills Maryland, and played his college lacrosse for Mount St. Mary’s. At The Mount, Brett was a standout attackman, and was consistently named to the All-NEC team. Brett became the first ever player from Mount St. Mary’s to be selected to the MLL when Rochester took him with the 38th overall pick in the 5th round of the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft.

2013: Led the Mount with 34 goals while adding 26 assists for 60 points...Had 11 games with two or more goals…Finished career with 196 points (tied for fifth all-time at MSM)...Had 114 career goals (T7th at MSM) and 82 career assists (8th at the Mount)...Named First Team All-NEC on attack.
2012: Named Second Team All-NEC at attack after tallying 29 goals and 19 assists for 48 points...Earn a spot on the NEC All-Tournament team after recording three goals and an assist in the two games...Scored at least one goal in all 15 games in 2012, stretching his streak of consecutive games with at least one goal to 28, the third-longest current streak in the nation... Scored two or more goals in each of the first seven games.
2011: Named First Team All-Northeast Conference at attack by posting 34 goals and 16 assists for 50 points on the season...Named to the NEC All-Tournament team by tallying five goals and three assists in wins over Bryant and Quinnipiac... A three-time NEC Offensive Player of the Week winner... Had six games with a hat trick.
2010: Had 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points his freshman season at the Mount...Named Second Team All-Northeast Conference at attack...Was the NEC Rookie of the Week one time and MAAC Rookie of the Week on two occasions during the season...Earned a spot on the NEC All-Rookie team...Led the Mount in assists…Added 17 ground balls on the year while starting all 17 games.
