Bio

Mark Matthews' lacrosse career began in Canada, where he played for the Coquitlam Adanacs, winning a Minto Cup in 2010, and the OLA Jr A Whitby Warriors, winning the Cup in 2011. Currently, although in the MLL, he continues to play in the Canadian WLA for the Langely Thunder.

His professional career blossomed after he was drafted into the National Lacrosse League in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Rush, taking the NLL Rookie of the Year award upon scoring 38 goals and 31 assists. 

2013 Statistics: In 2013 while playing for New York Matthews played in 8 games and scored 11 goals and had 6 assists. He also picked up 9 ground balls.

MLL Career: Matthews has tailed 30 career goals and 15 assists in just 17 games played. He also snatched up 18 career ground balls.

College Career: A two time All- American at Denver, Matthews had a great career scoring 155 goals and dishing out 61 assists. He also picked up 98 ground balls for the Pioneers.  He finished his senior season 3rd in Division I with a 2.94 goals per game average.
