Crotty went from 2010 MLL Cascade Rookie of the Year to Major League Lacrose superstar in 2011.  He and Paul Rabil of the Boston Cannons ended up as the league's statistical scoring leaders as each had 50 points in 2011. Crotty was selected as the Rattlers Offensive Player of the Year and as the Rattlers Most Valuable Player.  He was honored as an MLL All-Star for the first time in his career and was selected to the All-MLL team.

Duke University

Crotty was a three time All-American at Duke University.  As a senior he won the 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy awarded to the most outstanding college lacrosse player while helping the Blue Devils win the 2010 NCAA Division I National Championship. Crotty recorded 23 goals with 63 assists for 86 points during his senior year.  The 63 assists set the Duke single season record for assists and ranks 10thall-time in the NCAA single season records book. 

As a junior Crotty scored 23 goals and added 55 assists for 78 points, and was awarded the National Attackman of the Year award. 

Crotty finished his career at Duke with 92 goals and 147 assists for 239 points. His 147 assists rank second all-time at Duke and 18thin NCAA history.  His 239 points are fourth in the Blue Devil career records book.
