Jeff Colburn was one of the most improved midfielders in Major League Lacrosse in 2011. He made his Major League Lacrosse debut after not appearing in any games with the Boston Cannons last season. Colburn ended up finishing second on the team in assists (11) and tied for fifth on the team in points (18). HobartColburn was a three-year starter for the Statesmen. His junior year he was second on the team with 17 goals. Colburn was named to the All-ECAC Academic Team after his junior season. He was twice named a Statesmen scholar. He was a team captain as a senior. At Hobart Colburn was a versatile scoring threat. He had the ability to score in close, as well as drift out to the edge of the box and rifle home shots, make him a tough defensive assignment. He was a tall target on the crease who also had the speed to outrun defenders. |
