Rochester Rattlers M Jordan MacIntosh has been named the Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after his five goals and one assist in a 17-10 victory over the Hamilton Nationals last Saturday night in Sahlen’s Stadium. MacIntosh scored two goals and got his assist during a six to one run in the second quarter. He had a hat trick in the fourth quarter as the Rattlers scored the last five goals in the game.
“Jordan had a breakout game against Hamilton on Saturday night.” Rattlers Coach Tim Soudan said. “He proved to be the player we thought he was when we drafted him. He gave us a scoring punch out of the midfield that we’ve lacked at times this year.”
MacIntosh now leads the Rattlers with nine goals this season. He scored two goals in a 17-8 loss in Hamilton on June 9th, and he had two goals and one assist in the Rattlers 17-16 win over the Boston Cannons on June 1st in Sahlen’s Stadium.
MacIntosh is from Oakville, Ontario, but he went to college at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a two-time All-America selection with RIT. He finished his collegiate career with 128 points and 130 ground balls.
