To Our Valued Partners,
On behalf of Adirondack Sports Club, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous support and sponsorship towards the Rochester Rhinos, Rochester Rattlers, and WNY Flash throughout the 2011 season!
2011 brought many new and exciting changes to our multi-purpose, state-of-the-art facility, including a new name to kick off the season. Newly acquired naming rights changed the facility to “Sahlen’s Stadium,” for the next ten years. The stadium is currently home to the Rochester Rhinos, the Rochester Rattlers and the Western New York Flash. The stadium features 14 luxury suites, a state-of-the-art press box, guest services, a picnic area, surface parking and local concessionaires. Collectively, these amenities make our stadium the premier venue for professional and collegiate sports in Rochester!
The Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse made their return home to Rochester this year, playing all home games at Sahlen’s Stadium. Each game featured a pregame party with live bands, dollar drafts and hot dogs. With the hiring of lacrosse legend and Rochester native Tim Soudan as Head Coach half way through the season the Rattlers saw immediate success. The Rattlers look to return in 2012 with a renewed energy and ready to compete for the MLL Championship.
This season proved to be an exciting and successful year at Sahlen’s Stadium. Second year head coach Bob Lilley led the Rhinos through another season of success. The Rhinos made their mark as one of the dominating teams in the league and for the second consecutive season clinched aFIRST PLACE finish in their division and made it to the semi final game in the playoffs! Atremendous amount of hard work and dedication contributed to this accomplishment and has given the team momentum into the 2012 season.
The Western New York Flash made their debut this season as well, playing all of their regular season home games at our facility. Not only did they set a Rochester area sports attendance record of 15,404 spectators, they also had an extremely successful inaugural run in the Women’s Professional Soccer Playoffs, winning the WPS CHAMPIONSHIP against the Philadelphia Independence in front of another record setting crowd of 10,461 fans.
The continued support of our fans, along with local community businesses such as yourself, has made this year exciting and one of the most successful and highly attended seasons in the stadium’s history! We know you have a choice where to extend your support and we would like to say a heart-felt thank you for choosing to do so with the teams that call Sahlen’s Stadium home! We look forward to building on the success of this year and bring the promise of even more events calling Sahlen’s Stadium home in 2012.
