Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced the weekly award winners for week nine of the 2013 season, which concluded on June 30. The winners are chosen every week by the League, and are based on outstanding in-game achievements. Rochester's
Kevin Leveille was named Warrior Offensive Player of the Week following his efforts in the Rattlers’ 13-10 victory over the New York Lizards on Sunday, June 30
Leveille led the Rattlers to their fourth victory on the season on Sunday evening in a much-needed win for Rochester. The captain buried three goals and dished out two helpers, earning himself Player of the Game for the performance. Leveille was able to find the holes, and put himself into good position to get a few scores right on the doorstep. The nine year veteran completed the 100th game of his career, and has amassed 260 goals within that time. Leveille is second in Major League Lacrosse's history for goals scored, ten behind Tim Goettelmann who has 270.
Make sure to come out and see Kevin and the rest of the Rattlers as Rochester will remain home at Sahlen's Stadium this weekend, hosting the Hamilton Nationals on Sunday, July 7, at 3 p.m. (ET). CBS Sports Network will also broadcast that game live.
