Rattlers Carnival Day headlines June 29th game

ROCHESTER, NY (Monday, June 23, 2014)  The Rochester Rattlers are hosting their very first “Rattlers Carnival Day” this coming Sunday, June 29 that Sahlen’s Stadium as they take on the visiting Denver Outlaws.  The festivities begin at 12 noon when the gates open, and will continue up through game time, which is 1 pm EST.

“Rattlers Carnival Day is a culmination of what I was hoping to achieve at our final home matinee game” said team COO Brad Ford.  “With the help from our strategic marketing partners, Clear Channel Radio and Time Warner Cable, we’ll be able to bring a fun and festive environment to families looking to spend a sunny summer afternoon together and of course watch their hometown team play” Ford continued.

The carnival elements will include clowns, balloons, magicians, a stilt walker, interactive games and a dunk tank.  A caricature artist will be on hand and cotton candy will be available.  In addition to the games and entertainment, the Rattlers will be playing the league leading Denver Outlaws for a 1 pm EST game time.

Rochester looks to even the season series with the first place Denver Outlaws (7-1) at home.  The Rattlers also hope to continue their home winning streak, which currently stands at 4 wins with an overal record of 5-3.  They will also welcome surging rookie Jordan Wolf for his professional home debut, as he comes off red hot performances in his only two MLL games, with a total of 6 goals, 6 assists for 12 points.  Also, as the pre-game festivities close and the teams take the field, the Rattlers will honor their captain, Kevin Leveille, as he is now the All-Time Career Goals Leader in Major League Lacrosse.  Leveille will be presented with a plaque prior to game time.
