Rattlers Draft Watch

The Maryland Terrapins defeated the Syracuse University Orange 6-5 in overtime on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts in the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals.  Maryland senior attacker Grant Catalino ( Rattlers acquired draft rights via trade with Denver Outlaws) scored the game winning goal in overtime.  Catalino had one goal and one assist for two points in the game.  Syracuse middie Jovan Miller ( Rattlers second round pick) scored two goals in the losing cause.  Orange defender Joel White ( Rattlers first round pick) scooped 5 ground balls while goalie John Galloway ( Rattlers fourth round pick) made 11 saves for Syracuse.

The Duke University Blue Devils moved on to the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Final Four this weekend after they defeated Notre Dame 7-5 in a quarterfinal match-up at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.  Duke senior defender Tom Montelli ( Rattlers fifth round pick) scooped 2 ground balls while helping to limit Notre Dame to 19 shots on goal.  Duke will face off against Maryland in Baltimore on Saturday May 28 that 6:30PM on ESPN2.
