Rochester, NY (April 1 st, 2014) – The Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) will be holding their 2014 training camp this Saturday April 5 thand Sunday April 6th at the University of Albany, SUNY campus. This will serve as the first of two weekends that the team holds training camp in Albany.
This will also be the second season the Rattlers will have their training camp held in Albany. “This will be my first time at training camp, so I am excited to not only get to know the guys on our roster for the upcoming season, but to see an MLL training camp first hand” said Rattlers COO Brad Ford.
The Rattlers and Coach Soudan have invited up to 40 players to attend. Some notable names are team captains Kevin Levielle and John Galloway, and other lacrosse standouts like Joel White and Sam Bradman. Joining them will be local Rochester residents Kyle Denhoff (Penfield), Grant Catalino (Webster) Mike Tota (Webster) and Mike Manley (Penn Yan).
The camps will run one session each day, 3pm-6pm on Saturdays and 9am-12pm on Sundays, for both weekends. The second weekend will also feature a MLL scrimmage between the Rattlers and the Boston Cannons, held at Union College and starting at 8pm Saturday April 12
The Rattler's season begins on April 27th on the road against the New York Lizards. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, May 2nd, 7:30 pm vs. The Boston Cannons at Sahlen's Stadium in downtown Rochester.
