Ratz looking to end season in 1st place..playoffs next!

March 18, 2016
ROCHESTER, NY (Thursday, August 07, 2014)  The first place Rochester Rattlers are looking to end the 2014 regular season on a strong note, by sweeping the season series against the host Boston Cannons on Saturday night.  The Ratz visit Harvard Stadium for a 7pm EST start, and if they can defeat the Cannons at home along with a Denver Outlaws loss to the New York Lizards this weekend, they will maintain their top tier status as the league’s best team.

The various playoff scenarios that are prevalent in the last week of MLL plays just proves the parity of play between all teams.  Only Rochester was guaranteed to host a semi-final game on Saturday, August 16 thafter week 13.  Only 2 teams are completely eliminated from the playoffs at this point (Chesapeake & Charlotte).

With rookie Mark Cockerton coming off his second Rookie of the Week performance in a loss to Ohio, the Rattlers are looking to wipe away the sting of that loss and finish off strong in Beantown.  As the season winds down, they will now look to the post season and hope to go into the MLL playoffs on a high note.

Saturday, August 16 ththe Rattlers will host (TBD) a semi-final playoff game at a new venue, Aquinas Institute’s Wegmans Stadium.  The time and opponent is not yet confirmed, however the two available time slots are 3pm and 5:30pm EST.  Aquinas is located at 1127 Dewey Avenue, Rochester NY and is the home to the Lil’ Irish sports teams.

Tickets are on sale NOW and can be purchased in advance by calling (585) 340-6905 or online HERE.  Gates will open on game day 1 ½ hours early and parking is available on campus grounds.  Tickets will be available for walk up purchase on game day for $20.00 at the stadium box office window.
